In Search of Gold, We Lost Diamonds π‘β¨π

Once, the night sky was our greatest treasure β a canvas of infinite stars guiding travelers, poets, and dreamers. But as cities grew and lights multiplied, the stars began to fade, not from the skyβ¦ but from our sight. ππ
The image above says it all: βIn search of gold, we lost diamonds.β In our quest for progress β for glowing skylines, neon nights, and unending productivity β we dimmed one of natureβs purest wonders: the Milky Way. ππ
Today, over 80% of the worldβs population lives under skies polluted by artificial light. For many children, the concept of a star-filled sky exists only in pictures. Light pollution has robbed us of the cosmos β the quiet reminder of how small we are, and how vast the universe truly is. π
The irony is powerful: we built lights to conquer darkness, yet in doing so, we blinded ourselves to the most beautiful light of all. πβ¨
But thereβs still hope. Cities are beginning to adopt βdark-sky initiativesβ, turning off excess lights, protecting nocturnal wildlife, and restoring the night to its natural brilliance. Because in truth, we donβt need to own gold to feel rich β we just need to see the diamonds above. ππ
